Joe Lewis “Pete” Mitchell, Jr., 67 of Toney, Alabama died on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at his home.
Born Tuesday, October 23, 1945 in Toney, Alabama, he was the son of the late Joe Mitchell, Sr. and the late Martha Rhodes Mitchell. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and dodge trucks.He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew: Peewee & Rhonda Ricketts. He was a member of Carter’s Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are sisters, Katie Sue Jones of Hazel Green, AL,Carolyn Ricketts of Eva, AL, and Judy Ricketts of Toney, AL, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Billy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Golightly Cemetery, Toney, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
