Joe Leeser, age 80 of Estill Springs, passed away at home on Wednesday morning, May 24th, 2023. He was born on January 24, 1943, to Beatrice (Brown) Leeser. He was a 1961 graduate of Franklin County High School. He enjoyed his high school days, especially playing sports- football, baseball, and basketball. Before retirement, he worked at AEDC for almost 26 years. He married his long time sweetheart Martha Massey Housley in 2005. In Joe’s spare time, you could find him working on his farm, studying coins, or spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will always be lovingly remembered as Papa Joe. He is survived by his wife Martha (Massey) Leeser; sons, Shay (Lori) Housley and Shad (Richelle) Housley; grandchildren, Katy Housley (Andrew) Flautt, Luke Housley, Colton Housley, Kyla Pearson, and Lane Pearson; and great-grandchildren, A. William Flautt, Jr., Declan Flautt, Marthafaye Flautt; aunt, Peggy Brown and cousins. Visitation will be from 12-3pm on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Green Cemetery.
