Dr. Joe Edd Magnusson, 80 of Madison, Alabama died on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Saturday, June 17, 1933 in Ardmore, Alabama, he was the son of the late Frazell Magnusson and the late Carolyn Smith Magnusson. He was the husband of Inge Wurbs Magnusson. Dr. Magnusson was a 1952 Grauate of Columbia Military Academy, Served in the Army in Germany 1955-58. Grauated from Florence State College 1961 and went to University of Alabama School of Dentistry earning his DMD in 1965. He practiced in Huntsville, AL, Fulton, MS and Ardmore, AL and enjoyed caring for his patients, friends, and family.
Surviving are his wife: Inge Wurbs Magnusson of Madison, AL, son, Joe Edward Magnusson of Madison, AL, brothers, Ray & Shirley Magnusson of Conyers, GA and Jerry & Nelda Magnusson of Knoxville, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
