Joe Earnest Wilson, 76 of Lacey’s Spring passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. Joe was born June 29, 1945, the son of Josh Wilson and Frances Nell Barclift Wilson. He was married to the late Paulette Boles Wilson who preceded him in death December 13, 2011. He was a retired Electrician for Chrysler and member of the Arab Church of Christ. Joe and Paulette had one daughter Tara and she was their world, along with the granddaughters, Ashlynne and Kyleigh. Joe supported his granddaughters in all their sports activities with the Piedmont Bulldogs, travelling over two hours to attend the events. He was an avid Alabama fan.
He is survived by his Daughter: Tara (Tommy) Snow, Grandchildren: Ashlynne (Triston) Rivers and Kyleigh Rose Snow, Chosen Daughter: Sharon (Todd) Davis, Brothers: Will (Mary) Wilson and Steve (Janis) Wilson, Host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded by his Parents: Josh and Nell Wilson, Sister: Frances Tielking, Brothers: Larry Wilson and Jimmie Lee Wilson.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Ken Tyler officiating. Burial will be in Brock’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
