Mr. Joe E. “Jody” Mills, age 72 of Hazel Green, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018. He was born November 22, 1946 in Huntsville, AL. He was a retired driller from Vulcan Materials and a native of Madison County. His passions were hunting, Alabama football, family and friends.
Mr. Mills is survived by his son James Mills, daughter Joy Craig (husband Josh), sisters Carolyn Neeley (husband Harold) and Laura Nicholas (husband David); and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Leemon and Edna Mills.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10:00 am at Spry Funeral Home with interment in Maple Hill Cemetery.
