Joe E. Hillis, 83, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Thursday.
He was preceded in death by wife, Maxine Hillis, father, James William Hillis, mother, Josie Ella Hillis, siblings, infant twins at birth, Marvin Hillis, Junior Hillis, Mary Sieler and Edna Sharp.
Surviving are daughter, Demetra (Larry) Malone, daughter, Mechelle (Greg Anderson) Robbins, son, Joel Hillis, grandchildren, Joseph Malone, Joshua Malone, Merritt M. Robbins, III and Meagan Robbins, siblings, Dot Stokes, Peggy Satterfield, Glenda Shumate and Terry Hillis, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday at 3:00 pm.
Interment will be in the Green Valley Cemetery.
