Funeral services for Mr. Joe Bailey Kelley, age 78, are scheduled for 11 AM, Monday, September 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Lexington with Dr. Hoyt Wilson, Rev. Tommy Crocker, and Bro. Clay Hallmark officiating. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kelley passed away on Friday in Jackson. He was born February 28, 1938 in Henderson County to the late Wylie Zelmer “Bill” Kelley and Opal Estelle Taylor Kelley. He retired from Sears in 1993 after 29 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington and the Jack Hay Sunday School Class. He enjoyed playing pool and rook, gardening, and was a collector of hats, having over 6000. He was a devoted family man. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Brenda M. Kelley of Lexington; his son, Jeffery M. Kelley (Lisa) of Sardis; his daughter, Sheila Kelley Hayes (Russell) of Lexington; his brother, Billy Wayne Kelly (Judy) of Lexington; and three grandchildren, Jonathan Russell Hayes (Jessica), Kellie Brooke Hay (Wesley), and Bailey Elizabeth Hayes.
