Joanne Yarbrough Whittington, age 65 of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester. She was born in Winchester on January 13, 1957 to the late Wilburn Dudley Yarbrough and Barbara Dimple Yarbrough Tipps. Before her retirement, she was employed as an Inventory Control Specialist at Wagner Industries. She enjoyed working puzzles, quilting, and reading. But most of all, she loved to help others and spend time with her beloved family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Lawrence Bradford. Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Paul Whittington of Manchester; son, Bradley Duane (Anita) Woodall of Winchester; step-daughters, Amber (Jeff) Lewis of Ooltewah, and Erin (Chris) Mears of Hixson; brother, Randy (Judy) Yarbrough of Winchester; sisters, Juanita Bradford of Winchester, Cindy (Larry) Kernagis of Mt. Juliet, and Vickie (Mark) Welch of New Braunfels, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Ray Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
