JoAnn Norris Carneal, age 81 of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Ridgeview Nursing Home.
JoAnn retired from Wal-Mart after 20 years of service. Everywhere she went people would recognize her as the door greeter with the sweet smile. In her retirement, she adored keeping her grandchildren. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and was a faithful member of Manchester Baptist Church. JoAnn’s pride and joy were her children, Christy and Shane, and she told everyone she met so.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Grove Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Oakes and Bro. Colby White will officiate.
Mrs. Carneal was preceded in death by her Parents-Cecil Norris and Amy McCullar Norris; Stepmother-Verna Norris; Brother-Bud Norris; Sister-Sue Dowdey Patton.
She is survived by her Daughter-Christy White (Mike) of Sulligent; Son-Tommy Shane Carneal (Magda) of Helena; Sister-Bonnie Street of Wetumpka; Sister-in-law-Carol Norris of Thach; Her precious grandchildren-Colby White, Camille White, Erika Carneal, Danny White (Leslie), Molly Rae White, Krimson Revis (Hunter) and Brooks Revis; A host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the following nurses and caregivers. They took care of our sweet Moma with love, patience, and grace and we will forever remember their kindness.
