JoAnn Copeland Scott, age 73, of Hackleburg, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at North Alabama Medical Center.
JoAnn was a tough yet caring, forgiving woman, who gave you unconditional love, no matter what. She loved going to auctions to discover the best finds. Above everything she loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Copeland; father, Arrie Lee Copeland; mother, Ruby Lawson Copeland; sisters, Mary Graves, Margaret Lane, Dorothy James; and brother, L.C. Copeland.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Wayne Scott (Lilian), Dennis Scott (Gwen), Dean West, Jean Wallace, Martha Townsend, Rena Ussery (Bruce); host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Margie Mears, Pee Wee (Herbert) Copeland; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery in the LaGrange community.
The pallbearers will be Dennis Scott, Kevin Scott, Eddie Scott, Joseph Mears, Moe Morhauser, Roger West, Colby Hamm, Chad West, and Joey Brannon.
