Joan Yvonne Thomas, 81, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at The Meadows. She was a homemaker and a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church. She had been a resident of The Meadows for the past six years, where she enjoyed doing word searches and playing Bingo. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p. m. Tuesday, May 3, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Phil Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Sandy Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Terry Thomas (Margie); one daughter, Tina Davis (Ricky), both of Fulton; two sisters, Polly Newell (James) of Fulton and Janice Duncan (Phil) of Senatobia; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Thomas, James Thomas (Keally), Candace Davis, and Johnny Davis; one great-grandchild, Carter Andrew Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron Thomas; and her mother, Nocle Lesley.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Tuesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
