Mrs. Stewart was born January 30, 1949, in Cullman, Alabama. She entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior surrounded by loved ones on September 8, 2025.
Joan was a very loving and godly woman whose faith was evident in every part of her life. She faithfully served at Walter Baptist Church, where she led the Young Ladies Group, joyfully worked in and poured her heart into mission work. She took part in mission trips to both Guatemala and Jamaica, where she served in Bible School. She also gave her time and love to the ministries at Jessie’s Place. Joan was especially passionate about filling shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse, knowing that each small gift could carry the love of Christ across the world.
She cherished her family deeply, as well as her church family and coworkers, all of whom were touched by her kindness, encouragement, and servant’s heart. Joan’s life was a testimony of her faith, her love for people, and her desire to serve the Lord in every way possible.
She will be greatly missed, but her legacy of faith and love will live on in the many lives she touched.
