Funeral service for Joan Montana (Jones) Preston, age 79, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Delashaw and Rev. Mrs. Preston, who died Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born June 22, 1945, in Alabama to Benford Jones and Lizzie Mardis Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Preston; her parents; and brothers, Thomas Jones and Leland Jones. She and Harold were married 64 years. Montana was a charter member and loved her church family at Faith Baptist. She was Sunday School teacher for children and ladies. She taught pre-school for many years. She worked at Rogers Department Store, where she helped many women find their perfect accessories for every outfit. Montana was a wonderful, devoted wife, and loving mother. She will be missed by many, but rejoicing with Harold in Heaven.
She is survived by her son, Todd Preston (Donna); daughter, Penny Banks; four grandchildren, Brandon Banks (Katie), Brett Harrell (Blaze), Lauryn Preston, and Tori Preston; and three great-grandchildren, Ledger Preston, Teddy Banks, and Milo Banks.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
