Mrs. Joan Margaret Fish Coggins was born December 04, 1932 in Kearney, NJ to her parents the late Mr. Joesph Fish and Mrs. Ada Blake Fish. Mrs. Coggins was a studious woman as she graduated high school in 1950 and would continue her studies at the Washington Secretarial School where she would learn the occupation that would carry her through her life long vocation of secretarial work as well as office management. As a young adult she married Mr. Hugh Black Sr. and the two established their family. In her adult years she would live in various locations throughout the United States watching her children and grandchildren develop into adulthood. She being a hard worker, held several positions with several different companies throughout her life including office manager for the Princeton Partners Advertising in New Jersey and office manager for the Napa Country Club in Napa California just to name a couple. Later in her adult years, she would meet and marry Mr. Lee Ray Coggins and the two would enjoy their life together with the time God gave them until his passing. Always mindful of her God, Mrs. Coggins attended the Presbyterian Church in Lawrence New Jersey as well as worshiping in the Pentecostal faith. However, nothing compared to the joy she felt when spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Joan Margaret Fish Coggins passed from this life surrounded by family at her home in Collinwood, TN on April 15, 2025 making her stay on this earth some 92 years.
Those left to honor her memory include her son Hugh John Black and his wife Margaret (Peggy) of Collinwood, TN and her daughter Janet B. Mangiaracina and husband Joesph of Ringo, NJ; grandchildren Lauren Delfin and husband Ruben of Cape Coral, Fl., Ian Thomas (Tommy) Black of Cape Coral, Fl and Joesph Mangiaracina of Santa Rosa, CA; 3 great-grandchildren as well as many other family, friends and loved ones.
In addition to her parents and husbands she is preceded in death by her grandson Alec Mangiaracina.
