Mrs. Joan King Chandler, 83, of Scottsboro, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, July 26 , 2026, at Gulf Coast Health and Rehab in Mobile, Alabama.
She is survived by her son Anthony Chandler; grandson Tucker Chandler; granddaughter Kaylee Chandler; cousin, Carol Hill; special friends, Sheila and Joe Byars, Sylvia Carter, and Linda Wallingsford.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Chandler; son Brian Chandler; parents Johnnie and Annie King; and brother Bobby King.
Mrs. Chandler was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Gulf Coast Rehabilitation, Mobile, AL, and Gentiva Hospice, Mobile, AL, for the loving care and compassion shown during her stay.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice in her honor.
Visitation will be held at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
