Joan Hill Thomas age 91 of Woodbury passed away Friday, September 4, 2026, at her residence. She was born May 9, 1935, to her parents the late, William “Willie” Floyd and Mary Alice Cantrell Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie Bethel and James Carlon “J.C.” Hill; sisters, Marine Keith, and Aleen Mashburn. Ms. Thomas was affiliated with the Church of Christ and worked as County Clerk in Nashville. She is survived by two sons, Larry Thomas of Hermitage and Randall Thomas of Woodbury; sister, Martha Hill of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be 10 AM Tuesday September 8, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday September 8, 2026, 9 AM until the time of the service at 10 AM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Thomas family.
