Joan H. Ledbetter – Obituary

Mrs. Joan H. Ledbetter, 95, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, February 4th at Maury Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, February 7th, 2018 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant, with burial following in Arlington Cemetery.

Mrs. Ledbetter was the daughter of the late James and Annie Lou Hutcheson. Her husband of fifty-six years, Gerald Keith Ledbetter; a sister, two brothers, and two daughters, Barbara Ledbetter Daugherty and infant, Linda Ledbetter, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Anabel Stevens (Ron), son-in-law Michael Daugherty; five grandchildren: Matt Stevens, Courtney Stevens, Dave Tompkins (Sheridon), Destin Tompkins (Kristen), Kurtis Curran; six great-grandchildren: Taylor and Daniel Tompkins, Claiborne and Shelby Tompkins, Bryce Peale, and Brooklyn Swatzell; and loving nieces and nephews.

Joan (and husband, Keith) owned and operated Keith’s Flowers, serving their community from 1946-1981. In her retirement, she volunteered at Maury Regional Medical Center for twenty-five years. Fort Walton beach trips, her beloved bridge club friends, church family, traveling, knitting, and crossword puzzles brought her much joy. She was a generous and loving Nana to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
