Joan Emerson Bivins, age 92, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025, at her home.
She was born November 14, 1932, in Cornersville, Tennessee, to the late Hobert Emerson and Doris Doggett Emerson Roberts. She was an Inspector at Teledyne for 35 years and a member of Church Street Church of Christ. She enjoyed crosstitching, puzzles, and word finds. She loved working in her flowers when she was able and enjoyed having them in her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Michael W. Bivins and a sister Nancy Crutcher.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly D. Wassermann (David) of Lewisburg and Melanie King of Harvest, Alabama; two sons, Barry E. Bivins and Paul Stanley Bivins (Cindia) both of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Wes Bivins, Josh Bivins, Keaton King, and Stacey Sharpe; five great grandchildren, Curt Taylor, Ben Taylor, Tyler Bivins, Aaron Bivins and Amelia Bivins; three great great grandchildren, Annalynn Taylor, Barrett Taylor, and Riley Taylor; two sisters, Lynda Riggs and Gale Ward; brother Alfred Emerson of Burnham, PA; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and will continue on Monday, June 2, 2025, until the funeral hour.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Beechwood Cemetery.
