JoAn Banks, 92, of Muscle Shoals, AL, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 12 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
JoAn was a member of Cox Blvd Church of Christ for over 60 years. She enjoyed teaching the children’s Bible classes for many years. She also taught kindergarten in her loving home. JoAn was a native of Atlanta, GA. She graduated from David Lipscomb College in Nashville, TN. In her later years she worked alongside her husband at Lambert Book House.
She is preceded in death by husband, Billy Banks; parents, E.R. and Christine Holley.
She is survived by her children Hugh Banks (Joan), Lisa Counce (Billy); brother, Ed Holley (Peggy) of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Holley Collier (Mitchell), Caleb Banks, Connor Counce; great-grandchildren, Kami and Banks Collier.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Banks, Billy Counce, Connor Counce, Mitchell Collier, Banks Collier, Caleb Banks.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cox Boulevard Church of Christ Mission Fund.
