Jo Nell Parker, 90, of Fort Payne, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at her home. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. David McCarrell officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her sons Nick Parker and Michael Parker; grandchildren Chris Parker, Erica Parker Kemp (Dan), Adam Parker (Chelsea), and Amelia Parker; great-grandchildren Winifred and Frederick Kemp and Brooks and Blair Parker; and sister Judy Brisendine.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Parker in 1999. Together they established and operated Parker Hosiery in Fort Payne. After Bobby’s passing, she took over operation of the mill until her retirement. She loved spending time with family, cooking, and reading. She was, and still is, an inspiration to her family of a life well lived.
