Jo Miller Winford went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 14th 2019. Born on August 21st 1927, she is survived by her sister, Ernestine Farrar, her niece, Susan Morris, and her nephew, Glenn Farrar. She loved her stepdaughters, Judy, Jane, Sarah and Bonda and her grandchildren who called her granny, John and Deidre, Gretchen, Shannon and Teddy, Patrick and Michelle and her great-nieces and nephews that called her Aunt Jo, Tiffany and Adam, Kristie, Sarah and Robert.
An accomplished business woman, she operated seven gas stations in the Tri- Cities area, loved art and gardening, volunteering at a local rehabilitation facility, and the Tri-Cities community. She was married to Red Gaskins and they loved and enjoyed 30 years together. In her later years, she married Sherry Winford and was blessed to find love and another family in her 80s.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Tuscumbia on Wednesday, April 24th at 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to First Presbyterian Church, Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research or your favorite charity.
