Mr. Jimmy Tucker, age 81, passed away early Thursday, November 13, 2025 in Jackson. He was born February 20, 1944 in Scotts Hill to the late Woodrow Wilson Tucker and Lena Ethel Volner Tucker. He was a hard working family man and retired from MagneTek after 35 years of employment. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Shirley Dyer Tucker; his son, Tim Tucker (Sonia Greenway Tucker); his daughter, Cheryl Honeycutt (Dereck); his sister, June Austin; three grandchildren, Eric Hays (Kara), Ethan Honeycutt (Martha), and Nathan Tucker (Haven); and four great grandchildren, Charlotte and Anderson Honeycutt and Amelia and Eli Hays. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Candice Tucker and Corey Gene Tucker.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Scotts Hill Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill on Saturday, 10 AM – 7 PM and on Sunday, 10 AM – 1:30 PM.
