Jimmy Smith was born in Saltillo, Tennessee on May 12, 1950 the son of the late Willie Alic and Reba Theo Clayton Smith.

On February 7, 1970 he was united in marriage Sally Howell, who survives.

Jimmy had been a truck driver for Stanfield Trucking and Precise Rebuilders. He was the owner of Smith Grocery. Jimmy was a member of Saltillo Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the NRA. He loved watching westerns, football games and being with his family.

Jimmy departed this life on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 10 days.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, Sally of Saltillo, Tennessee, he is survived by his two sons, Sean Smith and his wife Michele of Lexington, Tennessee, and Keith Smith and his wife Jodie of Saltillo, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chase and Toni Smith; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Toni Michelle Smith, one sister, Colene Clayton, and one brother, Bob Smith.
