A Celebration of Life Service for Jimmy Rickett, 84, of Corinth, MS will be Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11 AM at Magnolia Funeral Home – South Chapel officiated by Bro. Keith Hayes with interment to follow in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 5-8 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home – South. Pallbearers include Justin Rickett, Joel Marshall, Terry Wooley, Tony Glisson, Timmy Wallace, and Mark Wallace. Jimmy was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and had a career that spanned over four decades with INTEX Plastics before his well-deserved retirement. Outside of work, Jimmy found solace in the outdoors. Among all his outdoor pursuits, his love for horses held a special place in his heart. Spending time with these majestic creatures brought him immense joy and tranquility. Jimmy had a vibrant personality that brought joy to those around him. With his quick wit and sense of humor, he had an uncanny ability to lighten any room he entered. His family will forever remember him for his jovial spirit and the unique nicknames he bestowed upon each member of his family. These playful nicknames became endearing tokens of love and affection that will be cherished throughout generations. Jimmy Rickett leaves behind a legacy rooted in love and kindness and will forever be remembered by his family and friends. Survivors include his son, Joey Rickett and wife Lylaine; his step children, Jerome Gay and wife Ella, Debbie Marshall and husband Larry, and Sharon Burnett; his grandchildren, Justin Rickett, Ashley Crosslin, Taylor Wooley (Terry), and Zoey Rickett; his step grandchildren, Josh, Joel, Joseph, Lindsey, Kelsey, Dylan, Logan, Tiffany, Nick, and Deborah; numerous great grandchildren; his sisters, Betty Glisson (Bill), Margaret Wallace, and Margie Jordan (John); other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Rickett; and his parents, John and Bertie Rickett.
