Jimmy Neal Spires was born October 29, 1938 and passed away at home on March 2, 2017 at the age of 78. Visitation will be Saturday, 12-1:30 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia with Russell Romans officiating.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Susie and John Dalton Sr., baby boy Spires and Brenda Gail Spires.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Claudia, son, Anthony Spires and wife Rachel, grandsons, Neal Spires and wife Krysten, Jimmy Bonner, granddaughter, Jamie Swinea and husband, Michael, great-grandchildren, Daren Spires, Alissa Swinea, a number of nieces and nephews, brothers, John D., Billy, Hubert Spires, and sister, Connie Buaugher.
Jimmy was a pipeline operator of more than forty-five years.
