Jimmy Mikel “Mike” Burt, age 70 of Fort Payne, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at his residence. He was born on June 9, 1955 in Fort Payne to the late Jimmy & Kitty Black Burt. He retired from Heil after 42 years as a Field Tech. Mike was a member of Delmar Missionary Baptist Church and Fort Payne Masonic Lodge #437.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Redden officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. hour of service.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Green Burt; son & daughter-in-law, Aaron & Valerie Burt; brother & sister-in-law, Chris & Traci Burt; sister & brother-in-law, Pam & Ricky Denson; grandchildren, Sebastian Burt, Andrew (Lacey) McBrayer and Abigail (Christian) Hughes; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Peggy Walker and Phyllis Pridmore.
