Funeral Service for Jimmy Maples, age 77, of Cullman, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Mt. Olive Bible Based Fellowship Church in Berlin; interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Mr. Maples passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at UAB Hospital . He was born October 16, 1945, to Glenn Oakley Maples and Edith Parker Maples.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glendell McCaghren; and brothers, J.T. Maples, Frankie Maples, and Larry Maples.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Charlotte Maples; daughters Tonya (Todd) Hardman, Monica (Tim) Roberts, Kim (Tommy) Mullican, Shanna (Phillip) Schnittker, Heather Maples, and Courtney (Michael) Dean; grandchildren, Treyla (Will) Kessler, Trett (Sadie) Hardman, Morgan (Casey) Watts, Bryant Roberts, Brileigh-Cate Roberts, Dalys Mullican, Oakley Mullican, Dylan (Payton) Smith, Dawson (Kyndul) Smith, John-Connor Smith, Hayden Maples, Daylia (Jacob) Hill, and Colt Dean; great-grandchildren, Sam Kessler, Noah Kessler, Luke Kessler, Bo Kessler, Walt Hardman, Henry Watts, Blaize Smith, Gunner Smith, Acie Smith, Kynzlee Smith, and Jett Smith; sister, Kathryn (Frank) Monk; brother, Avery (Carol) Maples; sister, Tammy (Randy) Whitten; sisters-in-law, Brenda Maples and June Maples; brother-in-law, Hoyt McCaghren; a host of nieces and nephews; and he was granddaddy to many more.
