Jimmy was a 1952 graduate of Corinth High School and graduated from the University of Mississippi. He was a general contractor and dealt in real estate & oil. He was a proud member of the Elk’s Club and Borroum’s coffee group, where he would mingle with friends and solve the world’s problems. Jimmy was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Corinth.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jimbo Howell; and step father who raised him, Bill Robertson.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Jo Howell; son, Frank Howell; daughters, Martha Howell and Meridith Howell Archer (Todd); grandchildren, Hank Howell (Ashley), Holly Howell Byrd (Caleb), Shiloh Rutherford (Jesse), Jayme Howell, Bo Howell, Howell Archer, Mari Laci Archer, Fleming Archer and Martha Morris Archer; great-grandchildren, Aiden Howell, Hadley Howell, Greyson Howell, Knox Howell, Thomas Byrd, Crawford Byrd, Finley Rutherford, and Roe Rutherford; and a host of other family and friends.
