Jimmy Harvey Nichols – Obituary

Jimmy Harvey Nichols, 73, passed away peacefully at Huntsville Hospital on Sunday morning, July 24, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Harvey Nichols and Bessie Nichols Engle and brother, Stanley “Sam” Nichols.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Sue Sisco Nichols; two daughters, Pamela Shaw (Bobby) of Madison and Jackie Cassingham of Huntsville; brother, Bill Nichols of Decatur; four grandchildren, Nick and Brandon Shaw, and Emma and Charlie Cassingham; and several other relatives and friends.

Jimmy was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, and worked as a chemical operator with 3M Company for over 30 years. He liked hunting with his metal detector for old coins which he collected. Jimmy Nichols was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him!

You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service conducted by Pastor Stephen Hampton will commence at 11 a.m. in Valhalla’s Chapel.
