Jimmy Glenn Davis, 63, died at his home on January 13, 2024. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, Jimmy was born to Glenn Edward Davis and Frances Ford Cox. For many years, before becoming disabled, he was a very skilled frame builder in the furniture industry. Jimmy would help anyone and was a friend to many. He was an excellent cook and he enjoyed fishing and music.
Private family services will be held later.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Cox of Smithville; his daughter, Kristina Easter of the Athens Community; his sister, Anntionette Dykes (Ronnie) of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Alex Bradley (Lynzee), Dalton Bradley, Jesse Jones, Jr., Jayme Jones, and Dixie Jones; and great grandchild, Sawyer Bradley. In addition, he had a longtime devoted dog, Shadow Renee Davis.
He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Courtney Easter; and brothers, Michael Davis and Kenneth Davis.
