Jimmy Glen Jeffreys – Obituary

Jimmy Glen Jeffreys, 69, of Decatur, passed away on Feb. 6, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on June 3, 1943, in Lawrence County, to Cecil and Clezell Jeffreys.

Mr. Jeffreys was retired from Solutia (Monsanto) after almost 34 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father and a member of Westmeade Baptist Church. He was also an avid golfer.

Mr. Jeffreys was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Stella McGee.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Claudia Lowery Jeffreys; son, Michael Glen Jeffreys, of Birmingham; and daughter, Ginger Leigh Jeffreys, of Decatur; numerous nieces; and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the funeral following at 4 p.m. with Reverend Todd Greenlee officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Greg Lowery, Lucas Isbell, Brett Isbell, Zachary Dutton, Adam Lowery and Michael Jeffreys.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Breeding, John Lowery, Dale Brackin, Morris Reagin, Danny Grissom and Willard Isbell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation,
