Jimmy King Jimmy Douglas King, 82 of Arab passed away Sunday January 19, 2025, at his residence. Mr. King was born June 30, 1942, in Marshall County, the son of William Harvey King and Lorene Scott King. He was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 1960. He and the former Iva Nell Pierce (King) have shared their lives together for the past 63. He was a supervisor at SCI and enjoyed hunting, fishing, Alabama Football and being with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jimmy is survived by his wife: Iva Nell King; two sons: Michael (Edith) King and Gary (Donna) King; three daughters: Robin (Mark) White, Gina King and Danielle (Tracy) Strihafka; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many dear friends and neighbors; he was preceded in death by his parents: William and Lorene King and a brother: Floyd King.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday January 24, 2025, at Gober Funeral Chapel, with Donna King officiating. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. In lieu of flowers the King Family has requested donations in memory of their loved one be made to the Wounded Warriors.

Pallbearers will be Michael King, Gary King, Tracy Strihafka, Eric McCowan, Dusty McCowan and Jason Brown. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Perkins, Doyle Wray, Scottie Pridmore and Mark White.

The King Family will receive friends at Gober Funeral Chapel Friday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m.
