Jimmy Doolittle “J.D.” White, 83, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at his home. He was born in the Halltown Community on March 7, 1934 and graduated from Red Bay High School. He worked for Bingham Insulation, Inc. in Miami, Florida. for thirty years. He attended Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, September 7th, at Halltown Cemetery, Vina, Alabama with Brother Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama will be in charge of arrangements.
J.D. will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sicily White; one daughter, Kelly Jones; three sons, Gary White, Mark White (Michelle), and Jimmy D. White Jr.; three stepdaughters, Carolyn Gutierrez (Bert), Audrey Roberson (Doug), and September Owens (Brian); one stepson, Bill Davenport (Teresa); one sister, Brenda Frame (Ron); 28 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard C. and Sarah (Bottoms) White; four brothers, L.C. White (Rosa), Thomas White, Ross White and John Ed White; two sisters, Terry Fallon and Lee Pottenger (Wayne); two stepsons, James Wilkins and Eric Rivers; and one grandson, Chris Gutierrez.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Lewey, Jason Vinson, Pablo Herrera Makepeace, Aaron Lewey, Jalen Vinson and Andrew Lewey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Matt DiVittorio, Roger Robinson, Jeff Jones, John Beddows, Carl White, Ricky White, Jerry White and Justin White.
