Jimmy Dean Hand, age 60, of Coopertown, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Jim Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Sharon Cemetery with Mark Hand, Sr., Mark Hand, Jr., Michael Hand, Bobby Hand, Jr., Leslie Hand and Nick Oplinger serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm.
Mr. Hand was born December 4, 1960 in Springfield to the late J.C. Hand, Jr. and Mrs. Ester Lucille Hodges Hand of Coopertown. He worked as a carpenter.
In addition to his father Mr. Hand is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Hand. In addition to his mother Mr. Hand is survived by his daughter, Heather (Robby) Rhymes of Sweetwater, TN; brothers, Bobby Hand, Sr. of Coopertown, Kenneth Hand of Coopertown and Mark (Julie) Hand, Sr. of Coopertown; sister, Lisa (Brad) Oplinger of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren, Journey Rhymes and Radley Rhymes.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
