Mr. Jimmy Cleveland McGowan, age 76, of Smithville, TN (Green Hill Community) passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 at his residence. He was born on May 6, 1949 to the late Lester Adam McGowan and Nellie Ruth Wade McGowan. He was self-employed as he owned McGowan’s Trucking where he gained his love for Peterbilt Trucks. He is preceded in death by his parents, sons Ronnie McGowan, Jason McGowan, and sister Betty Jean Dixon.
Survivors include his wife Charlene Scott Bouldin McGowan, sisters Dorothy Stembridge, Cynthia Martin, brother Kenneth McGowan, daughter-in-law Dana McGowan, grandchildren Abbie McGowan (Luke Crawford), Dakota McGowan (Matthew Muncey), great-grandchildren Lynlie Crawford, Sunnie Crawford. Nieces, nephews, and many friends also survive.
Funeral services for Jimmy Cleveland McGowan are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 24, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. Noon until service time at 2:00 P.M. in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
