Mr. Jimmy Andrew Moffitt, age 74, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at his home in Big Sandy. He was born June 19, 1950 in Lexington to the late Lillie Ruth Murren Moffitt. He worked as a pipefitter and welder, construction, farming, and mussel diving. He was a true jack-of-all-trades, master of a few. He loved to ride motorcycles, help animals, to share his love of nature, write songs, and play guitar. He always said raising his daughters, Sarah Moffitt (Surviving) and Mary Moffitt (1985-2020) was the true joy of his life.
Mr. Moffitt was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Mary Moffitt and two brothers, Sidney and Johnny. Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Moffitt; two brothers, Sam and Randy Moffitt (Dana); two sisters, Annette Greenway (Claude) and Jane Wood (the late John); and several “grand dogs”.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, May 10, 2025, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. The family will receive friends on Friday, 5 – 8 PM and on Saturday 12 – 2 PM.
