Jimmie Ruth Northcutt died on her birthday after a lengthy illness at NHC in Tullahoma, TN. She was born at home in Winchester on November 2, 1940, to Wiley G. Northcutt and Mattie Lee (Holman) Northcutt. Jimmie Ruth attended schools in Franklin County. She remained at home until 2016 when she entered NHC. She attended the Winchester Church of Christ and later the Estill Springs Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, J W Northcutt, Thurman (Bud) Northcutt, and Ray (Red) Northcutt. She was predeceased by her sisters, Nannie Lee Northcutt, Gerlene Hall, Nelda Northcutt, Mildred (Midge) Clark and Mary Jean Parks. She was also predeceased by two nephews, Gordon Clark and David Clark. She is survived by her nephews Carter Northcutt, Wayne Northcutt, Larry Northcutt, Wade Hall and Roger Parks and her nieces Faye Newby, Tammie Hayes, Lee Castor and Nina Rice. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews as well as 31 great-great nieces and nephews who she dearly loved and who dearly loved her. Jimmie will be remembered for her love for God and for her family. She enjoyed Franklin County HS sports, Tennessee Women’s basketball, the Atlanta Braves, fishing, swinging on the porch and watching children play. She also loved to go anywhere someone would take her. The family would like to extend a very special “thank you” to the staff and administration at NHC. Their love, understanding and care of her brought joy to Jimmie and great comfort to her family. Jimmie requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts could be given to the Franklin County Christian Memorial Foundation (FCCMF), care of Andy Groves, 113 Lakeview Dr, Decherd, TN 37324. Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2021, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, Winchester, TN. The service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastors Roger Parks and Dean Northcutt officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Garner Cemetery in Decherd, TN.
