Jimmie Lou (Davis) Stewart, 81, passed away Sunday morning at 4:45 am, July 13, 2025 at her home in Amory where she had resided since 2021. She was born on March 30, 1944 in Smithville, MS to the late Bill and Mary Lou Frederick Davis Carothers.

Jimmie Lou was a honor student in school and was very active in basketball, and eventually she transitioned to golf. Her love for golf elevated her to club champion several years in a row while living in Chattanooga, TN.

She was blessed during her lifetime with a husband whom she loved Jerry Stewart and they made their home in Itawamba County and were faithful members of Hopewell Baptist Church. Jimmie Lou spent most her life seeing the world through travel, taking care and raising her family, and caring for her dogs.

Her family and friends will miss her dearly yet they know that she is healed and with her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her sons, Kenny Stewart, Nashville, and Keith Stewart, Purdy, TN; her grandchildren, Kasey Wilson and her husband, Adrian, Savannah, GA and Tony Stewart, Forsyth, GA; her great-grandchildren, A.J., Eli, and Julianna Wilson of Savannah, GA; her brother, Sidney Davis and his wife, Pat Davis, Laurel, MS along with their two sons, Danny Davis and his wife Jennifer Davis; their children Anna and Connor Davis, Starkville, and other son, David Davis of Starkville; her Aunts, Faye Stevens, Avis Ramey, and Jerry Lee and Patsy Frederick of Smithville; many cousins.

In addition to her parents, Bill and Mary Lou Davis, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Stewart.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service, officiated by Bro. Danny Davis and Bro. Sidney Davis, where we will remember and celebrate her life on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 am, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS. Visitation will be on Saturday morning, from 10:00 am until the service hour.
