Jimmie Kay Austin, 83, of Robbs, MS passed away January 7, 2026. Kay was born in Pontotoc, MS and graduated from Randolph High School in 1959 where she was salutatorian of her class. She was a devoted mother; her family always came first and foremost. She is remembered for her hospitality, generosity, and making people feel loved.
She is survived by three children Debra Austin Hoover of Franklin, TN; Daniel Wayne Austin and John Austin both of Robbs, MS; three grandchildren, Austin Hoover of Franklin, TN; Dylan Hoover (Sarah) of Madison, MS; and Jarrod Walls.
Preceding Kay in death were her parents Olen and Lettie Daniel; her husband John Wayne Austin, to whom she was happily married to for 52 years; and her son-in-law Gene Hoover who she adored.
A gravesite funeral service at Buckhorn Cemetery will be held Sunday January 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm, led by Bro. Randy Rinehart. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
