Funeral service for Mr. Jimmie Groce Reed, age 77 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Reed passed away in Harton Regional Hospital Thursday evening.
A native of Lincoln County, son of the late Horace and Fannie Groce Reed, Mr. Reed was a retired mail carrier and school bus driver. He served in the National Guard for nine years and was a member of the Booneville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Harris Reed of Fayetteville, daughters Christy (Jeff) Smith of West Point, TN. Kimberly (Scott) Shelton of Fayetteville, TN. Heather (Ray) McNatt of Booneville, TN. son Robert (Amy) Reed of Portland, TN. grandchildren Andrew and Rachel Reed, Michael (Hillari) Smith, Devin Anderson, Lela McNatt, Raby McNatt and Michael McNatt.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
