Jimmie Franklin Henry, age 79, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 16, 1947, to Savannah “Pete” Henry and Bernice Beck Henry, Jimmie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who cherished his family above all else. He held those he loved close to his heart and never hesitated to lend a helping hand or offer support whenever it was needed. His family was his greatest pride and greatest joy. Jimmie was especially proud of his military service and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. His dedication and sacrifice reflected the strength, courage, and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life. An outdoorsman at heart, Jimmie found peace and happiness in nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, creating countless memories doing the things he loved most. Whether sharing stories, enjoying time with family, or simply being outside, Jimmie appreciated the simple blessings of life. Jimmie is survived by his beloved wife, Leatrice “Lea” Henry; daughter, Amy Henry Lemmons; son, Jason Henry; stepsons, Durwood Henderson, Billy Wayne Henderson, Sam Henderson, David Stinson, and Michael Stinson; stepdaughters, Connie DeVaughn and Pamela Riley, Patty McCarty; and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sisters, Lou Rogers, Sue Skipper, Alice Henry extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish his memory for years to come. He was preceded in death by his father, Savannah “Pete” Henry; his mother, Bernice Beck Henry; and his brother, Clint Herrington; sisters, Earline Herrington, Lucille Herrington.
