Jimmie Dale Richards, 71, of Florence, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center. He was retired from Mid-South Vending Company and Southern Frozen Foods. Jimmie was involved in sports all his life. He enjoyed coaching kids in football and baseball. During his career in sports, he coached two kids that played professional football and baseball. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch watching the kids at Mars Hill Bible School play ball.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmie Dale Richards, Jr.; parents, Denver Charles Richards, Sr. and Mittie Gooch Richards; spouse, Darlene Richards; and brother, Denver Richards.
He is survived by his son, Bryant Richards; daughters, Stacy Bowling (Steve), Kristy Seal (Shane), and Patricia Connally (Rusty); sisters, JoAnn Capley (Donnie), Linda Sellers, Teresa Darby (Clarence), Connie Kelso (Harold), and Lois (Jimmy) Spires; grandchildren, Alexandria Bowling, Gaige Bowling, Kodi Seal, Tanner Seal, Zeke Seal, Chance Duncan, and Dillon Nerger; great grandchildren, Asher Seal, Hollin Seal, Nash Seal, and Cooper Seal.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
