Jimmie Cecil Mitchell, 87, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at Florence Nursing & Rehab, Florence, AL. He was born February 9, 1931 in Franklin County, AL and worked for American Motors for thirty-five years. He attended Russellville Church of God.
Services will be Wednesday, June 27, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Todd Kemp officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of almost seventy years – Cleeta Mitchell, Russellville, AL; two sons – Kenneth Wayne Mitchell, Anniston, AL and Ricky Howard Mitchell (Kimberly) Tuscumbia, AL; four grandchildren – Rhett Mitchell, Nikkita Mitchell, Carter Mitchell and Kendra Mitchell, three great-grandchildren – Patrick Mitchell, Bretton Mitchell and Prescott Mitchell and one brother – Cornelius Mitchell (Bobby Nell) Memphis, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Gaby Mitchell and Myrtle Idumie Gentry Mitchell and his brothers and sisters, Ruby Hutcheson, J.B. Mitchell, R.V. Mitchell, Inez Nelson, John Mitchell, Bill Mitchell and Bob Mitchell.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
