Jim (Jimmy) Henry Williams was born to the late Joe and Nannie Ruth Williams on Jan. 29, 1956. He departed this life on Saturday, Sept. 30, surrounded by loved ones. Jimmy closed his eyes and slipped quietly into his eternal rest with the Lord.
Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 33 years, Sharon Garner Williams, Florence, Alabama; three sons, Jimorris Williams, Calvin Williams, and Marcus (Britney) Williams; one daughter, Kuricheses (Dr. Dante) Alexander, Lake Charles, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Paris Alexander, Cansas Williams, Cloey Williams, and Jimeson Williams; three brothers, Joe L (Pearl) Williams, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Fred (Rosette) Williams, Huntsville, Alabama, and Johnny Mac Williams, Sheffield, Alabama; two sisters, Nora Williams, Sheffield, Alabama, and Nellie Eggleston, Florence, Alabama; extended family, Pattie, Burton, Steven and Lorraine Lewis and the rest of the Lewis Electric family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, 11 a.m. to noon, at the church. Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be noon Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Gaston Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Sheffield, Alabama. Reverend Gary Rowe is officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield, Alabama. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. The public viewing will be today, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
