Mr. Jim E. Gates, age 79 of Lineville, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Lineville Health and Rehab. A private memorial service will be planned for a late date.
Mr. Gates was a graduate of Lineville High School, a member of the Alabama Army and National Guard, and worked in maintenance. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Mr. Gates is survived by his daughter, Annette Hughes of Northport; two sons: Scott Gates (Shelley) of Roanoke and Barry Gates of Talladega; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family would like wish a special thank you to Bill Brady, Larry Robertson, and the staff of Lineville Health and Rehab.
