Funeral service for Jim Cork, 50, of Athens, who died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at his residence, will be Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Gerome Hilliard officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be Decatur City Cemetery.
He was born January 9, 1965 in Alabama. He was an avid sportsman, loving hunting and fishing. He enjoyed people and love sales; he was the owner of Madison Fence and Deck, currently working with Athens Fence in Sales.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Cork; two brothers, Eric Beam and Ronnie Cork; four sisters, Donna Click, Kathy Crowley, Kay Barnes and Rose Cork; several nieces and nephews.
