Jewell Wingo, 84, of Iuka, MS passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her residence. She was a member of Mission Lighthouse Church. Jewel enjoyed bird watching and flowers, along with spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Gwatney (John); her son, Dennis Wingo (Debbie Kay); her daughter in law, Diana Wingo; her sisters, June Luttrell and Diane Johnson; her grandchildren, Bryan and Annie Gwatney, Jonathan and Carrie Sanders, Kellie Gwatney, Chris and Mary Elizabeth Wingo, Isaac and Marissa Wingo, Becky Wingo, Seth Wingo, Chance Wingo, Jason and Hope Powell, and Channing and Elizabeth Stanfield; her great grandchildren, Kipten and Cannon Stanfield, Chaise and Meredith Grace Powell, J.P., Brittany, Allie, David, and Maggie Sanders, Beaux Gwatney, Corbin, Libby, Isaiah, Asher, Carson, and Myla Wingo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Wingo; her parents, Sterling and Ruby Brown Lomenick; her son, Roger Wingo; her sisters, Shirley Robinson and Linda Arnold; and her brothers, Luther “Brownie” Lomenick, James Lomenick, Roy Lomenick, and Tommy Lomenick. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 1pm until 3:30pm, Friday, June 11, 2021 at Mission Lighthouse Church. Services are scheduled for 3:30pm, Friday, June 11, 2021 at Mission Lighthouse Church, officiated by Bro. John Gwatney. Burial will be in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Wingo, Chance Wingo, Ikie Wingo, Bryan Gwatney, Jonathan Sanders, J.P. Sanders, Jason Powell, and Channing Stanfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Isaiah Wingo, Chaise Powell, David Sanders, Asher Wingo, Corbin Wingo, Beaux Gwatney, Kipten Stanfield, Cannon Stanfield, Jimmy Arnold, Tom Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, Jeremy Arnold, and Sterling Hogeland. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Jewell’s honor to Mission Lighthouse Church.
