Jewell Marie Akins Winters, age 89, of Ethridge, TN passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at her residence. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman Clark and Ora Naomi Jenkins Akins; and her husband, H. E. “Buddy” Winters.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, March 18, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2013, with Ken Winters officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
