Jewell Daniel Smith went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at the age of 81 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. She was a longtime resident of the Hatton community. Mrs. Smith retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1997.
Funeral will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Virgil Calhoun officiating. Burial will be in Old Town Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Survivors include one son, Malcom Smith (Debbie) of Town Creek; five daughters, Sharon Pitt (Tim) and Sheila Bishop, both of Moulton, Debbie McGrath (Bobby) of Huntsville, Donna Dudley (Terry) and Judy England (Ray), both of Town Creek; seven half brothers and sisters, 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Brannon Bray, Brad Bray, Jared England, Matthew Dudley, Daniel Dudley, Bryant England, Landon Bishop and Colten Wren.
Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons.
