Jewel Pruitt, 71, of Double Springs, entered into rest on Monday, July 27, 2020, at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
Jewel was born on June 11, 1949. She spent her life working and caring for her family. She did many jobs throughout her years, most of which were laboring, nursing, housekeeping and dog breeding.
Jewel was a private woman choosing to spend most of her time at home. She enjoyed vacationing with her family, her little dogs, baking and gardening.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 1-2pm at Kilgore Green Funeral Home. Services will follow in the Chapel. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery of Double Springs. Pastor Benny Knight will officiate.
Jewel is survived by two siblings, A.V. Holcomb (Sara), and Vivian Lane; children, Cynthia Renee Sellers and Virgil Leo Pruitt, Jr (Pansey); grandchildren, Elicia Leashay Bell, Virgil Leo Buddy “Jay” Pruitt, Cynthia Nicole “Cody” Gonzalez (Trino), Devon Michel McCombs (Dixie), Heather BreAnn Pruitt, and Dylan Michel McCombs; great-grandchildren, Bryan Hunter Allred, Daniela Nicole Gonzalez, Caleb Leo Pruitt, Jasmine Marie Pruitt, Jacob Trinidad Gonzalez, Mickel McCoy McCombs and Izabella Marie McCombs; and one very special chihuahua, Tinker. A host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Pruitt; grandparents, Henry and Mamie Wilson; parents A.V. and Verta Mae Holcomb; son, Wendell Michel “Mike” McCombs; great-granddaughter, Breanna Eve Allred.
